Henning Schmiedt, an award winning pianist, composer, arranger and producer, and I met through our mutual friend Yasuhiko Fukuzono who runs the Tokyo-based label flau. Henning and I decided to form a duo.

Today, flau releases our debut album bei, a collection of instant compositions based on first takes that have been recorded in several improvisation sessions, intentionally opposing the habits of classical music by praising the beauty of imperfection, available worldwide on LP, CD and digitally.
